Within the framework of EuroFlora, STAM – as European Space Agency (ESA) Technology Brocker in Italy, in close cooperation with Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI) – took part in the different sessions on innovation and technology.
STAM Executive Director Stefano Carosio and STAM Project Manager Mattia Muracchioli, along with the research team led by Claudio Semini of Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, participated in different sessions focusing on robotic technologies for plant breeding. Besides, the role of STAM as ESA Technology Broker in Italy, in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency, was equally illustrated.
On Thursday, April 24th 2025, STAM Energy & Sustainability Area Manager Fabio Magrassi joined the session organised by Space V – the start-up founded by the first Italian astronaut Franco Malerba – together with several high level speakers: Prof. Patrizia Bagnerini (Space V), Mr. Luca Nardi (ENEA), Mr. Fabio Grimaldi (Altec), and STAM founder Andrea Barbagelata. The occasion also served as a moment of sharing on the project “Transform”, resulting from the collaboration between STAM and Space V, within the ESA CASE Programme.
